Many refer to Stephen King as the master of horror and fantasy stories, because of his reputation as the author of more than 50 bestselling horror books worldwide. He graduated high school in 1966, and from the University of Maine, Orono, in 1970 with a BA in English. Born on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine, Stephen Edwin King is an American novelist whose best sellers have sold over 350 million copies worldwide.
